About NHCN Health Centre of Excellence

Our Communities

Norway House is a dynamic, rapidly growing northern Manitoba community with a current population of approximately 6,950 people, including residents of the Norway House Cree Nation (NHCN) and the affiliated Norway House Community Council.

Norway House residents have a proud history of collaboration and partnership and played an important role in the early development of northern Manitoba and Canada.

Norway House is a spread-out community, with different pots of workers, employees and services. The Centre of Excellence will bring all that together. By bringing everyone and every service under one roof, the community will have better services and be able to service the people better.
