The Norway House Cree Nation (NHCN) Health Division has been active in ensuring the utmost healthcare is provided to the people of NHCN. The division is mandated to administer programs that provide access to health services and promote healthy lifestyles through holistic and culturally relevant programming.

Health Division

NHCN Health Division administers programs and services to ensure the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of all Norway House community members. Health Division collaborates and partners at the federal level with Department of Indigenous Services Canada, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch and provincially with Manitoba Health Seniors and Active Living and their regional subsidiary the Northern Regional Health Authority. Professional Physician services are provided through a partnership with the University of Manitoba, Ongomiizwin Health Services (formerly known as: J.A. Hildes Northern Medical Unit)


Each of these partner-organizations work collaboratively to deliver health services in Norway House under the direction of Norway House Cree Nation Health Division.
