EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Norway House Cree Nation – Health Programs is seeking the services of a Registered Nurse

 

FULL TIME PERMANENT

 

Under the direct supervision of the Public Health Nurse in Charge, the Public Health Nurse will implement community health programs aimed at improving and maintaining optimum standards of health in the community by implementing the following specific accountabilities:

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have Manitoba Nursing License: in good standing and registered with a Manitoba Nurses College.
  • Current Inoculation Certification (Nurses can obtain once they start position.
  • Experience in assessment and provision of nursing care.
  •  Knowledge in Public Health Nursing Program.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to efficiently handle and administer multiple tasks on concurrently running programs.
  • Proven ability to work as an integral team member as well as provide leadership when requested.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate workshops.
  • The ability to communicate in Cree is a definite asset.
  • Ability to adapt nursing care to meet First Nation needs and aspirations.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills.
