Artist Bio

Rosa Scribe was born in the Cree community of Norway House, Manitoba. Rosa is a very soft-spoken and inspirational artist with a quiet strength about her. She speaks volumes through her beautiful and colorful work.

Having learned the art of mukluk and moccasin making from her Kokum (grandmother), she has spent the last 25 years perfecting her art. As a teacher at the University College of the North, Rosa works hard to ensure that this traditional art form is passed on to future generations and never forgotten.

Rosa was commissioned to design our logo using her designs and we appreciate her contribution to our community.
